Gilroy is a city in Santa Clara County at the southern end of the Santa Clara Valley, east of the Santa Cruz Mountains and west of the Diablo Range. The city is the southernmost major commercial center in Santa Clara County, serving as a regional hub for the southern valley and adjacent portions of San Benito and Monterey counties. Gilroy is associated with garlic production and the annual Gilroy Garlic Festival, which draws visitors from throughout the region.
