Golf in Venice

Venice is a neighborhood in the city of Los Angeles on the Pacific coast, south of Santa Monica and north of Marina del Rey. The community was developed in the early twentieth century as a resort town modeled after Venice, Italy, with canals and a beach boardwalk. Los Angeles's coastal neighborhoods, including Venice and Santa Monica, have a mix of residential, commercial, and beach character. The Venice Canals, a small network of surviving canals in the residential area south of the main commercial district, provide a distinctive neighborhood feature. Abbot Kinney Boulevard has become a concentrated corridor of upscale retail and dining. The Venice Boardwalk is a major public gathering place along the beach. The community has a mix of longtime residents, technology industry workers, and a strong arts community.
