Golf in Kailua-Kona

Kailua-Kona is the commercial and resort center of the Big Island's western Kona coast, a working town of considerable character whose Ali'i Drive waterfront combines the Hulihee Palace, the Mokuaikaua Church, and the modern restaurants and shops that serve both permanent residents and the substantial visitor population. The town serves as the finish line for the Ironman World Championship triathlon, held each October in the waters, roads, and lava landscape of the Kona coast, giving it an international athletic profile. Three golf facilities serve the Kailua-Kona area: the two Hualalai Golf Club courses at the Four Seasons resort and Makani Golf Club serving the broader Kona community.
