Golf in Stratton

Stratton is a Franklin County village in the upper Dead River valley at the foot of Sugarloaf Mountain's access road, where the North Maine Woods begin in earnest. The community has a dual-season character: ski-industry workers and resort visitors in winter, hikers and paddlers in summer. The Dead River itself, flowing through the valley to the west, provides whitewater kayaking in spring and remote paddling later in the season.
