Golf in Elizabeth City

Elizabeth City is the county seat of Pasquotank County and the largest city in the Albemarle Sound region of northeastern North Carolina. Situated on the Pasquotank River near the Dismal Swamp Canal, Elizabeth City is a historic river port and the economic hub of the northeastern Albemarle counties. Elizabeth City State University is located in the city, adding an academic dimension to what is primarily a commercial and maritime community. The city's position at the head of the Albemarle Sound waterway system has defined its historic role as a trading center for the northeastern NC Tidewater.
