Golf in Kitty Hawk

Kitty Hawk is a town in Dare County on the northern Outer Banks, adjacent to Kill Devil Hills and near Southern Shores. The town is historically linked to the Wright Brothers' early aviation experiments, which were conducted on the dunes around Kill Devil Hills — often attributed to Kitty Hawk because that was the nearest post office. Dare County's northern Outer Banks communities around Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, and Nags Head form the main Outer Banks resort zone accessible from the mainland via the Wright Memorial Bridge from Currituck and Dare counties.
