Golf in Rockwood

Rockwood is a Roane County city on the western edge of Watts Bar Lake at the foot of the Cumberland Plateau escarpment, in a position where the plateau drops sharply to the Tennessee Valley floor. The city's character was shaped by coal and iron processing industries that used the plateau's resources and the river's transportation corridor — the remnants of that industrial history are visible in the older neighborhoods near the lake.
