Golf in Amarillo

Amarillo is the major city of the Texas Panhandle, the county seat of Potter County and a major agricultural, energy, and transportation hub at the crossroads of I-40 and I-27. The city sits on the flat Llano Estacado at roughly 3,600 feet elevation, with persistent winds that define both the climate and the golf experience. Amarillo is the center of the Panhandle beef industry, with substantial feedlot and meatpacking operations, and is near the Palo Duro Canyon State Park, known as the Grand Canyon of Texas.
