Golf in Brazos Country

Brazos Country is a small community in Austin County in the Brazos River valley west of Houston. The community sits in the bottomland and prairie terrain along the lower Brazos River, in a rural county with a mix of agriculture and suburban development as Houston's outer suburban area has expanded westward. Austin County is in the Gulf Coast plains, with Brazos River bottomland pecan and hardwood forest adjacent to the upland cotton and cattle country. The community is near the Brazos River and the US 90 corridor west of Houston, in an area that maintains a more rural character than the inner Houston suburbs. One course serves this small Brazos River community in the flat terrain of Austin County.
