Golf in Brownsville

Brownsville is the county seat of Cameron County at the southernmost tip of Texas, across the Rio Grande from Matamoros, Mexico. The city is the largest in the Rio Grande Valley and one of the largest US cities on the Mexico border, with a subtropical climate, strong binational commercial ties, and a downtown that reflects centuries of Spanish and Mexican influence. Fort Brown, a military post from the US-Mexican War era, anchored the community, and the Palo Alto Battlefield National Park Site commemorates the first major battle of that conflict near the city. The flat subtropical terrain of the Rio Grande delta has palm trees, subtropical vegetation, and year-round warm temperatures.
