Golf in Villa Pancho

Villa Pancho is a small community in Cameron County in the lower Rio Grande Valley near Brownsville, in the flat subtropical terrain of the southernmost part of Texas. Cameron County is the southernmost county in Texas, bordered by the Gulf of Mexico and the Rio Grande, and the communities in this part of the county are in the densely settled urban area between Harlingen and Brownsville. The subtropical climate of the lower Valley provides year-round warm temperatures, and the flat, sea-level terrain has palm trees, citrus orchards, and subtropical vegetation. The Rio Grande is nearby and forms the international border with the Mexican state of Tamaulipas. The Brownsville Memorial Golf Course serves as a community golf facility for this part of southern Cameron County. One course serves this southern Cameron County community in the flat subtropical terrain.
