Golf in Copperas Cove

Copperas Cove is a city in Coryell County adjacent to Fort Cavazos (formerly Fort Hood), one of the communities that has grown to serve the military population at the Army's largest installation. The city has a substantial military and veteran population, with the economy closely tied to the base through retail, services, and housing for active-duty families. Coryell County's limestone and cedar terrain of the eastern Edwards Plateau provides the setting for this central Texas military community. Fort Cavazos is home to the 1st Cavalry Division and is one of the primary training installations for US Army forces. Killeen is the larger adjacent city on the base boundary, and the Killeen-Copperas Cove-Temple metro area is one of the military-driven metropolitan areas in Texas.
