Golf in Fort Cavazos

1 golf course in Fort Cavazos, Texas.

Fort Cavazos, formerly Fort Hood, is the Army's largest installation, covering a vast area in Coryell and Bell Counties in central Texas on the eastern edge of the Edwards Plateau. The base is home to III Corps and multiple armored and aviation units, with a community of tens of thousands of soldiers and their families making it one of the largest concentrated populations in Texas. The limestone terrain of the eastern Edwards Plateau provides training ground that closely resembles terrain similar to that in multiple overseas deployment areas. Killeen and Copperas Cove are the main adjacent civilian communities. The installation was renamed Fort Cavazos in 2023 in honor of General Richard Cavazos. One course serves the Fort Cavazos community in the limestone and cedar terrain.
