Golf in Horseshoe Bay

Horseshoe Bay is a resort and residential city on Lake Lyndon B. Johnson in Burnet County in the Texas Hill Country. The city has developed as one of the destination golf resorts in Texas, with multiple courses at the Horseshoe Bay Resort on the shores of Lake LBJ in the Highland Lakes chain. The resort includes both resort and residential components, with the lake providing water sports, fishing, and boating alongside the golf. The granite and limestone terrain of the Llano Uplift in Burnet County creates a distinctive geological setting unlike most Texas course environments. Six courses—the most in the county—serve the Horseshoe Bay resort and residential community.
