Golf in Briarcliff

Briarcliff is a small community in Travis County on the north shore of Lake Travis, in the Hill Country limestone terrain west of Austin. The Lake Travis corridor has attracted residential development as Austin has grown westward, and Briarcliff is one of the small communities along the reservoir shoreline. Lake Travis is the largest of the Highland Lakes reservoirs along the Colorado River, formed by Mansfield Dam, and provides significant water recreation for the Austin area. The limestone Hill Country terrain of northwestern Travis County has cedar and live oak woodland on the plateau above the reservoir. The north shore communities along Lake Travis have developed as a resort and retirement residential zone. Two courses serve this Hill Country lake community in the limestone terrain.
