Golf in Meadowlakes

Meadowlakes is a small incorporated city in Burnet County adjacent to Marble Falls, in the Highland Lakes area of the Texas Hill Country. The community is part of the resort and retirement residential development along the Highland Lakes chain, where the combination of the Colorado River reservoirs, the granite and limestone terrain of the Llano Uplift, and the Hill Country landscape have attracted second-home and retirement populations. Marble Falls is the main commercial center adjacent to Meadowlakes, and the Colorado River reservoir at Lake Marble Falls provides the water recreation. Burnet County as a whole has a significant resort and retirement economy based on the Highland Lakes and the distinctive geological character of the Llano Uplift. The granite outcrops and pink granite of the area distinguish it from most Hill Country terrain. One course serves the Meadowlakes community in the limestone terrain of Burnet County.
