Golf in Perryton

Perryton is the county seat of Ochiltree County in the far north Texas Panhandle near the Oklahoma border, an agricultural community in the wheat-producing High Plains. Ochiltree County is one of the northernmost Panhandle counties, at roughly 3,000 feet elevation near the Oklahoma state line, in the flat terrain where Texas and Oklahoma share the high plains landscape. The county is one of the wheat-producing counties of the northern Panhandle, with cattle operations alongside the grain farming. The Perryton Wheatheart Museum celebrates the agricultural heritage of the High Plains wheat country. Perryton is approximately 100 miles northeast of Amarillo near the Oklahoma border on US 83. One course serves the Perryton community in the flat, high-plains terrain of Ochiltree County.
