Golf in Sandy Oaks

Sandy Oaks is a small community in southern Bexar County, in the southern suburban fringe of San Antonio along the US 281 and SH 37 corridors south of the main city. Southern Bexar County has a mix of suburban residential development and ranchland in the transition between the San Antonio metropolitan area and the south Texas brush country. The terrain of southern Bexar County has mesquite and live oak on the gently varied terrain, in the landscape transition between the Hill Country fringe and the flat coastal plain. Mission Del Lago, a city of San Antonio facility, serves the southern Bexar County golf community and provides accessible golf in this part of the sprawling metropolitan area. One course serves the Sandy Oaks and south Bexar County area in the mesquite and live oak terrain.
