Golf in Stephenville

Stephenville is the county seat of Erath County in the Cross Timbers country of central Texas, home to Tarleton State University (part of the Texas A&M University System) and known as the Cowboy Capital of the World for its professional rodeo activities and Western heritage. The city has a dairy farming and ranching economy alongside the university community, and Erath County is one of the leading milk-producing counties in Texas. The Cross Timbers terrain of Erath County has cedar, live oak, and mesquite on the gently varied terrain between the Comanche Creek and the upper Bosque River drainages. Stephenville is approximately 60 miles southwest of Fort Worth along the US 67 and US 377 corridors. Two courses serve the Stephenville community in the Cross Timbers terrain of Erath County.
