Golf in Waco

Waco is the county seat of McLennan County and the home of Baylor University on the Brazos River in central Texas, a city that gained international tourism attention through the Magnolia Home brand and the related Silos and Magnolia Market complex created by Chip and Joanna Gaines of television fame. Baylor University is one of the major Baptist universities in the United States, and its competitive football and basketball programs have elevated the city's profile. The Texas Ranger Museum and the Waco Mammoth National Monument, where Pleistocene mammoth fossils were discovered, are cultural and scientific attractions. The Brazos River flows through the community and provided the water supply for the early settlement. Three courses serve the Waco community in the Brazos River valley terrain of central Texas.
