Golf in Wolfforth

Wolfforth is a small community in Lubbock County adjacent to southwest Lubbock, in the cotton farming country of the flat Llano Estacado. The community has grown as Lubbock's southwestern suburban residential area has expanded, attracting residents who want to be near the Texas Tech University and Lubbock employment base while living in a smaller community setting. Lubbock County's flat, semi-arid terrain at roughly 3,200 feet elevation has the characteristic Llano Estacado landscape of irrigated fields, native grasses, and occasional playas. The West Texas wind that flows across the South Plains is a constant feature of the Lubbock area climate. Wolfforth is immediately west of the Lubbock city limits on the US 62-82 corridor. One course serves the Wolfforth area in the flat Llano Estacado terrain of Lubbock County.
