Golf in Dugway

Dugway is a small unincorporated community within Dugway Proving Ground, the U.S. Army installation on the western Utah desert floor in Tooele County. The community exists primarily to house military personnel and civilian government employees who work at the proving ground, one of the most geographically isolated Army installations in the United States. The surrounding terrain is the Great Salt Lake Desert, a vast and sparsely vegetated basin stretching westward toward Nevada. Recreational amenities within the installation include Frank Skul Memorial Golf Course, which provides an unusual golf setting deep in the western Utah desert where the nearest civilian community is many miles away.
