Golf in Stansbury Park

Stansbury Park is a master-planned community in Tooele County, set on the floor of Tooele Valley west of the Oquirrh Mountains. The community was developed in the 1960s and 1970s around a series of man-made lakes, parks, and community amenities including the golf course, which forms the recreational core of the development. Stansbury Park has an unusual character for a Utah community — more cohesively designed than the typical suburban grid, with community ownership of the lakes and green spaces. The golf course is integral to that planned identity. The drive from Salt Lake City takes residents over the Oquirrh Mountains via State Route 36.
