Golf in Layton

Layton is a Davis County city of substantial size, anchored in part by the presence of Hill Air Force Base to the west. The base is one of the largest Air Force installations in the western United States and has long defined the economic and demographic character of the surrounding communities. Layton has diversified beyond the military economy with retail, manufacturing, and technology employers, and its population has grown to make it one of the larger cities in Davis County. Valley View Golf Course on the valley floor serves a large and geographically concentrated local population, and the Wasatch Range's steep eastern face provides a constant visual backdrop.
