Golf in Moab

Moab is the Grand County seat and Utah's most internationally recognized outdoor recreation destination, positioned between Arches and Canyonlands national parks on the Colorado River. The city's identity is inseparable from red rock — the Entrada sandstone and Navajo sandstone formations that surround it on every side create a landscape of otherworldly beauty. Mountain biking along the Slickrock Trail put Moab on the map for the outdoor recreation generation of the 1980s and 1990s, and the city has diversified into Jeep touring, rafting, climbing, and trail running since. Moab Golf Club, carved from the canyon country terrain east of the Colorado, is likely the only 18-hole course in the world where dinosaur track sites are within walking distance.
