Golf in Green River

Green River is a small Emery County town beside the river that bears its name, at the point where the Colorado Plateau breaks into canyon country heading south. The Green River is a major tributary of the Colorado, and the put-in at Green River is the standard starting point for multi-day rafting trips through Labyrinth and Stillwater Canyons toward Canyonlands National Park. The town's character is defined by its river identity — melon growing, the River History Museum, and the launching of river expeditions. Green River State Park Golf Course provides a rare patch of green in a landscape of sandstone and sage.
