Golf in Salt Lake City

Salt Lake City is Utah's capital and largest city, the headquarters of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and a gateway to some of the most dramatic outdoor terrain in the country. Temple Square anchors the downtown, and the Wasatch Range rises abruptly from the city's eastern residential neighborhoods — the ski resorts at Alta, Snowbird, Brighton, and Solitude are all within an hour of the airport. The city's east side climbs steeply into the mountain terrain, while the west side spreads toward the Great Salt Lake. Salt Lake City has developed a thriving urban culture well beyond its religious identity, with a food scene, arts institutions, and an NBA franchise that give it a cosmopolitan character. Four golf courses serve the city's residential population, all operated through the city's golf system.
