Golf in Sterling

Sterling is a small Sanpete County community in Sanpete Valley, in central Utah's agricultural heartland. The valley is known for its heritage of pioneer settlement and the Manti Utah Temple, one of the most architecturally significant LDS temples in the world — its white limestone exterior towers over the valley on a hill visible for miles. Palisade State Park sits above Sterling in a canyon carved by Sixmile Creek, and the state park's combination of reservoir, basalt formations, and golf course makes it a destination within a region more commonly associated with pioneer history. Sanpete Valley's turkey farming tradition also gives it a distinct rural agricultural identity.
