River Island Golf Course

River Island Golf Course sits near Springville in the foothill zone of eastern Tulare County, where the Tule River flows out of the Sierra Nevada before crossing the valley floor. Springville is a small community at the base of the mountains on Highway 190, the route leading east toward Sequoia National Forest and the Giant Sequoia groves. The course occupies terrain in this transition zone where the flat Central Valley gives way to foothill topography, in a semi-rural setting distinct from the larger agricultural communities on the valley floor to the west.
