Golf in Anthem

Anthem is a master-planned community in north Maricopa County along the I-17 corridor between Phoenix and Flagstaff, at roughly 1,800 feet elevation in the Sonoran Desert terrain north of the main Phoenix Valley. The community was developed in the 1990s and has grown into one of the larger planned communities in the Phoenix area, with a range of residential neighborhoods, parks, and community amenities. Anthem occupies the gently varied terrain of the Sonoran Desert foothills north of the main Valley, in the zone where the Phoenix metro begins to thin out as the elevation rises toward the Mogollon Rim country to the north. The community is known for its planned character, the Anthem Community Center, and the Outlet shopping center at the I-17 interchange. One course serves the Anthem community in the north Maricopa County desert terrain.
