Golf in Rio Verde

Rio Verde is a retirement-oriented community in northeastern Maricopa County northeast of Scottsdale, in the remote Sonoran Desert terrain east of the Verde River. The community is in the outer northeast Valley, in the desert terrain beyond the main Scottsdale resort corridor near the Tonto National Forest boundary. Rio Verde has attracted retirement residential development due to the remote desert setting and the multiple golf facilities serving the active adult community in the dramatic terrain northeast of Scottsdale. The Verde River and the surrounding national forest terrain provide a natural backdrop for the community. Four courses serve the Rio Verde community in the remote desert terrain of northeastern Maricopa County.
