Golf in Willcox

Willcox is a small community in Cochise County in the Sulphur Springs Valley of southeastern Arizona at roughly 4,100 feet elevation, in the high-desert grassland country of the southeastern Arizona borderlands. The community is known for Rex Allen Days honoring the Willcox-born cowboy singer and movie star, and for the growing wine industry in the Willcox appellation that has emerged as southeastern Arizona's wine country. The Willcox Playa, a large seasonal lake bed east of town, attracts thousands of migrating Sandhill Cranes each winter, making Willcox a birding destination during the crane migration season. The cattle ranching heritage of the Sulphur Springs Valley is reflected in the feedlots and ranches in the grassland terrain around Willcox. One course serves the Willcox community in the high-desert grassland terrain of southeastern Cochise County.
