Golf in Yuma
10 golf courses in Yuma, Arizona.
Yuma is the county seat of Yuma County and one of the hottest and sunniest cities in the United States, at relatively low elevation in the flat Colorado River delta region of far southwestern Arizona where the Colorado and Gila Rivers converge. The community has the highest concentration of sunshine of any city in the country and one of the hottest summers, with average July high temperatures exceeding 106 degrees Fahrenheit. The Colorado River provides the water for the extensive irrigation agriculture that dominates Yuma County's economy, with winter vegetables—particularly lettuce—grown on an industrial scale in the flat irrigated desert. The Marine Corps Air Station Yuma and the Army Yuma Proving Ground represent significant military installations that contribute to the regional economy. Ten courses serve the Yuma community in the flat hot desert terrain of the lower Colorado River area.
