Golf in Wellton

Wellton is a small community in eastern Yuma County along the Gila River valley and I-8 corridor east of Yuma, in the flat irrigated agricultural terrain of the lower Gila River. The community is in the heart of the Yuma-area agricultural zone, where the extensive canal network distributes Colorado River and Gila River water to cotton, lettuce, and vegetable crops in the flat, warm desert. Wellton is west of Gila Bend and east of Yuma, in the flat agricultural terrain that spans the lower Gila River corridor across the southwestern Arizona desert. The warm year-round temperatures of this low-elevation desert area make it one of the hottest agricultural regions in the United States in the summer months. Two courses serve the Wellton community in the flat agricultural terrain of eastern Yuma County.
