Golf in Rancho Murieta

Rancho Murieta is a gated residential community in Sacramento County in the Sierra Nevada foothills, southeast of Folsom. The community occupies foothill terrain at roughly 200 to 500 feet elevation in the lower western foothills, east of the Sacramento Valley floor. Sacramento County's southeastern foothill communities are less developed than those to the north along Highway 50, and Rancho Murieta has maintained a rural foothill character. The community is centered on a private lake and several recreational amenities, functioning as a resort-oriented residential development. US Highway 16 provides access from the west, connecting the community to the Sacramento metro area. The surrounding foothill terrain consists of oak woodland and grassland typical of the lower Sierra Nevada foothills in this part of the county.
