Golf in Diablo

Diablo is a small private community in Contra Costa County in the San Ramon Valley, east of Danville at the base of Mount Diablo. The community occupies foothill terrain on the western side of Mount Diablo, in an affluent residential enclave in the Diablo Range. Contra Costa County's Mount Diablo area includes several residential communities at the base of the mountain, and Diablo is among the oldest and most exclusive. The Diablo Country Club is at the center of the community, with residential properties on the surrounding terrain. The adjacent terrain is characterized by grassland and oak woodland on the lower terrain of Mount Diablo State Park, which begins immediately above the community. Access is from the San Ramon Valley road system, with Danville providing the nearest commercial services.
