Golf in Danville

Danville is a town in Contra Costa County in the San Ramon Valley, east of the East Bay hills and south of Walnut Creek. The town occupies the valley floor at roughly 350 feet elevation, in the sheltered interior valley that lies in the rain shadow of the Oakland Hills. Contra Costa County's San Ramon Valley communities, including Danville and San Ramon, have grown substantially as residential areas for Bay Area workers. The town has a walkable downtown on Hartz Avenue with restaurants and retail serving an affluent residential base. The Iron Horse Regional Trail runs through the valley, providing a non-motorized recreation corridor. Interstate 680 connects Danville to Walnut Creek to the north and to the Santa Clara Valley to the south via the Sunol Grade. The town has maintained a small-town character despite growth in surrounding communities.
