Golf in Downey

Downey is a city in Los Angeles County southeast of downtown Los Angeles, one of the larger cities in the southeast county area. The city is one of the older postwar suburban communities in the southeast county and has a traditional suburban commercial and residential character. The Downey NASA facility was a Space Shuttle production site and is now part of a mixed commercial and aerospace development area. Los Angeles County's gateway cities, including Downey, Lakewood, and Norwalk, form a dense suburban corridor southeast of the main city. The Downey Landing and Stonewood Center provide retail for the area. Interstate 5 and the 605 Freeway (Interstate 605) provide freeway access.
