Golf in Eastern Goleta Valley

The Eastern Goleta Valley is a portion of Santa Barbara County's urbanized south coast area, in the broad coastal valley east of Goleta and northwest of Santa Barbara. The area occupies the inland portion of the Goleta Valley, where commercial and residential development has spread east along US Highway 101 from Goleta toward the Santa Barbara city limits. Santa Barbara County's south coast urban area extends from Goleta in the west to Carpinteria in the east, with the Santa Ynez Mountains rising inland from the coast. UC Santa Barbara, on a coastal mesa at the Goleta area's north end, has driven significant commercial and residential development in the broader valley. The area is primarily suburban with commercial centers along the major highway corridors. The Santa Barbara Airport serves the region from a site on the Goleta coastal plain.
