Golf in Ventura

Ventura, formally San Buenaventura, is the county seat of Ventura County on the Pacific coast, north of Los Angeles and south of Santa Barbara. The city occupies a coastal plain at the base of the Topatopa Mountains, where the Santa Clara River meets the Pacific. Ventura County's county seat serves as the administrative and commercial hub for the county. The city has a compact, walkable downtown along Main Street, with a concentrated retail and dining scene. San Buenaventura State Beach provides ocean access for residents and visitors. US Highway 101 and State Route 1 run through the city, connecting it to Santa Barbara to the north and Los Angeles to the south. Ventura Harbor provides access for recreational and commercial boating. The city has a diverse and growing residential population.
