Golf in El Centro

El Centro is the county seat of Imperial County in California's southeastern desert region, in the Imperial Valley below sea level. The city sits in the broad agricultural plain irrigated by water from the Colorado River, surrounded by some of the most intensively farmed land in the state. Imperial County's agricultural output includes vegetables, grains, hay, and livestock, all dependent on the All-American Canal irrigation infrastructure. El Centro is the largest city in Imperial County and functions as the regional hub for commerce, government, healthcare, and services. Interstate 8 passes through the city, providing east-west highway access connecting El Centro to San Diego and to Yuma, Arizona. Summer temperatures in the Imperial Valley are extreme, making El Centro one of the hottest locations in California from June through September. The city also serves as an entry point for cross-border commerce with Mexicali, Baja California, immediately to the south.
