Golf in La Jolla

La Jolla is a residential and commercial district in the northern portion of the city of San Diego, on the Pacific coast north of Mission Bay and south of Torrey Pines. The community occupies coastal bluffs and canyons above the Pacific, with the downtown village area on Girard Avenue and Prospect Street above the coves. San Diego County's coastal communities include La Jolla as one of the most affluent, with high real estate values and a mix of residential, academic, and retail uses. The University of California, San Diego, is in the northern portion of the La Jolla community, along with the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. The Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve is at the northern edge.
