Golf in Poway

Poway is a city in San Diego County in the north county inland area, northeast of San Diego in the Poway Valley. The city occupies a broad inland valley at roughly 500 feet elevation, between the coastal mountains to the west and higher terrain to the east. San Diego County's north county inland communities, including Poway and Santee, are primarily residential suburbs of San Diego with a mix of residential development and some light industrial uses. Poway has a commercial area along Poway Road and is connected to San Diego via Interstate 15. Blue Sky Ecological Reserve and Los Peñasquitos Canyon preserve provide natural open space access. Poway is primarily residential and has maintained a low-density suburban character through local planning.
