Golf in Los Osos

Los Osos is an unincorporated community in San Luis Obispo County on the south side of Morro Bay, at the base of the Santa Lucia Range. The community occupies a flat area between Morro Bay to the north and the low coastal mountains to the south. San Luis Obispo County's coastal communities on the south side of Morro Bay, including Los Osos and Baywood Park, share a peninsula of low-lying land adjacent to the estuary and bay. The bay and estuary provide habitat for shorebirds and other wildlife, and the natural area draws visitors. The community has grown as a residential area for workers commuting to San Luis Obispo. State Route 1 provides coastal access, and State Route 41 connects the area inland toward Atascadero. Los Osos is a densely settled community for an unincorporated area, with limited commercial services.
