Golf in Morro Bay

Morro Bay is a city in San Luis Obispo County on the central California coast, north of San Luis Obispo Bay. The city is centered on the harbor and estuary of Morro Bay, a shallow coastal inlet protected by a sand bar and dominated by Morro Rock, a volcanic plug rising from the water at the harbor entrance. San Luis Obispo County's coast here has a cool, often foggy climate, with the bay supporting a commercial fishing fleet and recreational boating. The city's commercial area along the harbor provides restaurants and shops for visitors. The Morro Bay State Park and associated natural areas protect the estuary and surrounding terrain. State Route 1 connects Morro Bay to Cambria to the north and to San Luis Obispo to the south. The bay and rock are the defining physical features of the city.
