Golf in Newhall

Newhall is a community within the city of Santa Clarita in Los Angeles County, in the Santa Clarita Valley north of Los Angeles over the San Gabriel Mountains via the Newhall Pass. The community is one of the oldest parts of the Santa Clarita area and has a small-town commercial character on San Fernando Road that predates the incorporation of Santa Clarita. Los Angeles County's Santa Clarita Valley communities, including Newhall, Canyon Country, Saugus, and Valencia, were incorporated into the city of Santa Clarita in 1987. The William S. Hart Museum and Park, on the former home of the silent film actor, is in Newhall and provides local cultural programming. State Route 14 provides the main freeway access to the valley.
