Golf in Patterson

Patterson is a city in Stanislaus County in the San Joaquin Valley, on the western side of the county near Interstate 5. The city sits in flat agricultural terrain in one of the more intensively farmed portions of Stanislaus County, where almonds, apricots, tomatoes, and other crops are grown. Patterson has grown in recent decades, driven partly by its position on Interstate 5 as a logistics and distribution corridor. The local economy includes agriculture, warehousing, light industry, and services, with many residents commuting east to Modesto or west to the Bay Area. Patterson is associated with apricot production that was once more dominant in the surrounding orchards. Interstate 5 provides the main highway access, and the city has become a more substantial community as growth along this corridor has accelerated.
