Golf in Turlock

Turlock is a city in Stanislaus County in the San Joaquin Valley, south of Modesto along State Route 99. The city is home to California State University Stanislaus, which provides a significant educational and economic presence. Turlock sits on flat valley terrain at roughly 100 feet elevation, surrounded by agricultural land producing dairy products, almonds, and other crops. The city serves as the second-largest urban center in Stanislaus County after Modesto and provides retail, healthcare, and government services for the southern portion of the county. State Route 99 provides the main north-south highway connection through the city and the valley. Turlock has expanded with residential and commercial development in recent decades, drawing population from both Modesto's growth and from agricultural families moving into the urban core.
