Golf in Pebble Beach

Pebble Beach is an unincorporated community in Monterey County within Del Monte Forest on the Monterey Peninsula, in the coastal section of the forested peninsula between Pacific Grove and Carmel-by-the-Sea. The area is managed by Pebble Beach Company, which controls most of the land and operates resort lodging, golf facilities, and the 17-Mile Drive. Monterey County's Pebble Beach area is among the most visited coastal resort destinations in California, with the golf courses and coastal terrain drawing substantial visitor activity. The community has very few permanent residents, as the land is primarily resort and recreational property. The 17-Mile Drive toll route passes through Pebble Beach and along the coastal bluffs, providing access to the various sites within Del Monte Forest. Carmel-by-the-Sea provides nearby commercial services for visitors to the resort area.
