Golf in Del Rey Oaks

Del Rey Oaks is a small incorporated city in Monterey County adjacent to Marina and north of Monterey. The city sits in the inland section of the Monterey Peninsula region, in a zone of oak woodland and the former Fort Ord military reservation. Monterey County's communities in this area are affected by the former Fort Ord base, which closed in 1994 and has since been partially redeveloped as a university site and mixed commercial area. Del Rey Oaks is a small, primarily residential city with limited commercial activity, with residents using Monterey and nearby communities for most services. The city is accessible from State Route 1 and the local road network. The former Fort Ord land to the north includes the California State University Monterey Bay campus and the Fort Ord National Monument.
